Class 4 employees duty bound to wear uniform; government issues instructions

Chandigarh, March 12, 2015: Cracking the whip on the lackadaisical approach of the class 4 employees, the Punjab government has instructed them to wear uniform while on duty. Disclosing this an official spokesperson of the Punjab government said that it has been found that class 4 employees did not wear uniform which ultimately amounts breach in official decorum and non compliance of the government orders.

He said that the Punjab government has been incurring huge amount on the uniforms of these employees. He said that the notification in this regard has been issued and all the divisional head have been instructed to ensure the compliance.

He said that if any class 4 employee would not wear uniform, the amount incurred by the government on his uniform would be deducted from his pocket.
