AWARDS GALORE FOR 92.7 BIG FM AT THE INDIA RADIO FORUM 2019

~ Talented writer, lyricist turned RJ Neelesh Misra won ‘RJ of the Year' (Hindi) award, whereas RJ Annu Kapoor’s show ‘Suhaana Safar with Annu Kapoor’ 
scooped 2 Golds ~

 

92.7 BIG FM, one of India’s largest radio networks, won fourteen awards at the recently held Excellence in Radio Awards, hosted by India Radio Forum 2019. Among the 10 Gold and 4 Silver titles, the radio station successfully managed to bag 4 Gold and 3 Silver awards across the Hindi belt for RJ of the Year (Hindi), Best Radio Show (Non-Breakfast-Hindi), Best Radio Show (Hindi- Non-metro station) and Best Radio Sparkler (Hindi) categories. Moreover BIG FM’s iconic RJs won 4 Golds under RJ of the Year category across Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Marathi languages. Popular shows grabbed 2 Golds for the Best Radio Show (Kannada) and Best Radio Show (Marathi).

 

Neelesh Mishra won the RJ of the Year (Hindi) for his show ‘Yaadon Ka Idiot Box with Neelesh Misra’, an iconic show that truly pioneered the storytelling genre on the radio. His show won 2 Silvers for Best Radio Show (Non-Breakfast-Hindi) and Best Radio Show (Hindi- Non-metro station). Known to entertain listeners with quality trivia from Bollywood, RJ Annu Kapoor’s show Suhaana Safar with Annu Kapoor’ scooped 2 Golds for Best Radio Show (Non-Breakfast-Hindi) and Best Radio Show (Hindi- Non-metro station). Best Radio Sparkler (Hindi) went to Actor Calling Actor.

 

Commenting on winning the award as ‘RJ of the Year’ and for his shows, Neelesh Misra said, “I feel really humbled and honoured to win the ‘RJ of the Year’ award in the Hindi category. Both Radio and Hindi, as a medium, has been very close to my heart, so I’m absolutely elated to receive the award. India Radio Forum’s (IRF) Excellence in Radio Awards (ERA) celebrates and honours the best of Indian radio industry by recognizing outstanding programming, marketing, radio personalities, promotions, and creativity within the field.
