Jalandhar, July 16, 2016: Army College of Nursing (ACN), Jalandhar Cantt celebrated its 11th Annual Day. The college was established in Aug 2005 with an aim to provide nursing education. There is 100% placement of students passing out every year from the college. 101 students of the college joined Military Nursing Service (MNS) in the Army, out of a total of 250 students who have graduated since 2013 from the college. In addition, the college is also contributing immensely for the health of army personnel in MH Jalandhar Cantt as well as civil population living in close proximity during various community training sessions.

Brigadier MJ Jacob, Commandant, Military Hospital Jalandhar Cantt & Director of College, extended a warm welcome to the Chief Guest, Lieutenant General JS Cheema, , General Officer Commanding, Vajra Corps, Mrs Anupvir Kaur, Zonal President, Vajra Corps AWWA and other esteemed guests.
The highlights of the function was, a well choreographed cultural programme organized by the students with songs and group dances which totally enthralled the audience. The cultural programme was followed by Prize Distribution to meritorious students by the Chief Guest.

During his address to students, the Chief Guest Lt Gen JS Cheema complimented the contribution of the ACN in humble service to Armed Forces/Civil Organization and highlighted the role of nursing as one of the noblest professions. Senior Officers from Army as well as Civil dignitaries from various Hospitals and Principals of contemporary Nursing Colleges of Punjab were also present on the occasion.

In his concluding remarks, Col Daljit Kumar (Retd), Registrar, of the College thanked all dignitaries, staff of Vajra Corps, MH Jalandhar Cantt and other units of the station for their unstinted support, guidance and encouragement to the College in organising the Annual Day Function.
