Approval granted for repair of two main roads of Raikot constituency

Ludhiana, October 29, 2019: The state government has granted approval for the repair of two main roads of Raikot constituency. Fatehgarh Sahib MP Dr Amar Singh informed that an amount of Rs 12.64 crore would be spent on the repair of Jagraon-Raikot-Malerkotla Road and Chhapar-Bhaini Baringa Road.
Dr Amar Singh informed that PWD Minister Punjab Mr Vijay Inder Singla has confirmed this approval by writing a formal letter in this regard. He further informed that the Jagraon-Raikot-Malerkotla Road (till the jurisdiction of district Ludhiana) is 13.05 km in distance and an amount of Rs 4.49 crore would be spent on its repair. Similarly, an amount of Rs 8.15 crore would be spent on the repair of 19.20 km long Chhapar-Bhaini Baringa Road. He stated that the tendering process of both the roads would commence shortly.
While thanking the Punjab Government, Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh and PWD Minister Mr Vijay Inder Singla, Dr Amar Singh stated that the repair of these two main roads would boost development in the Raikot constituency. He stated that a large number of area residents as well as commuters would be benefitted from this work.
Dr Amar Singh’s OSD Mr Jagpreet Singh Buttar was also present on the occasion.
