PATIALA STANDS SECOND WITH 3175 JOBS & SANGRUR THIRD WITH 3068 JOBS
PUNJAB GOVERNMENT HAD ORGANISED SUB DIVISION LEVEL JOB FAIRS FROM FEBRUARY 13-22
Ludhiana, February 24, 2019: Under the Ghar Ghar Rozgar Yojana of the Punjab government, sub division level job fairs were organised throughout the state from February 13-22, 2019, in which district Ludhiana has stood first by providing 5201 jobs to the unemployed youth, followed by Patiala which provided 3175 jobs, and Sangrur 3068 jobs.
While providing information in this regard, Deputy Commissioner Mr Pradeep Kumar Agrawal informed that during these job fairs organised across the state, a total of 40517 youth got jobs, while 6149 youth were shortlisted by companied and 4070 youth showed interest in starting their own businesses.
He said that in district Ludhiana, 280 employers had given a demand of 32400 jobs and during the seven sub division level job fairs, 11841 youth participated and 5201 got jobs, while 14 showed interest in starting their own businesses.
He further informed that in Ludhiana, maximum employment of 1706 was given during the job fair organised at Government Institute of Textile Chemistry and Knitting Technology, Rishi Nagar, Ludhiana, 833 got job at Raikot, 768 at Khanna, 620 at ITI Ludhiana, 604 at Jagraon, 439 at Samrala and 231 at Payal.
He appealed to the youth to get themselves registered for these upcoming job fairs through the portal, www.ghargharrozgar.punjab.gov.in.
