APPEAL: For Lacchman

Ludhiana, January 10, 2013: Lacchman, a 17 year old boy bearing CMCH, Ludhiana unit number C-7412776, who had a road side accident on October 13. He sustained injury to his liver and fractured his jaw as well as his right arm. He was very critical when he came to the hospital and was taken up for an emergency surgery to control bleeding from the liver. He was shifted to ICU and underwent two more operations during the hospital stay. He developed chest infection and abdominal infection also, for which drains were put and he had to be given antibiotics. He has been shifted to the ward 2 days ago.

Lacchman hails from a very poor family and he lost his parents when he was very young. He had to abandon his education due to financial constraints and was working as a labourer. His elder brother also works as a construction labourer and has been paying hospital bills with great difficulty. He has paid about Rs. 6 lakh. He is due to be discharged in a few days and his pending bill is Rs. 3 lakh. He needs financial help.
