Jalandhar, November 8, 2015: Joy of Victory spilled in the premises of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar when the glorious team of winners celebrated the GNDU Championship for the 15th time, creating a history of its own kind. Beating 75 Colleges affiliated to GNDU, the College stood first in 15 items viz. Indian Group Song, Painting, Cartooning, Poster Making, Collage, Music Instrumental (Percussion), Music Instrumental (Non Percussion), Classical Dance, Group Shabad/Bhajan, Rangoli, Folk Dance, Geet Gazal, Elocution, Western Group Song and Western Solo, second in 9 items Mime, Mimicry, Fancy Dress, Photography, Installation, Vaar Singing, Kavishri, One Act Play and Folk Song and third in Clay Modeling. Apeejay also pocketed the individual trophies in Fine Arts, Music and Theatre also.
Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia, President Apeejay Education Society who was on a special visit to Apeejay congratulated the Principal Dr. Sucharita, the faculty and the participants whole heartedly. Joining in the festivity she described Apeejay’s victory as an assertion of Apeejay’s objective to promote the Art and Culture of India and to excel in all fields.
She also blessed the winners and motivated them for doing their best in the forthcoming Inter Varsity & National Youth Festivals. She also stated that the College was all set to leverage its profile with fruitful International participation in cultural activities in the coming years.
Dr. Sucharita, Principal of the College lauded the victory as a result of hard work and competence put together with diligence and perfection.
