Posters Making Competition on Road Safety in Lyallpur Khalsa College

Students participate in Posters Making Competition on Road Safety in Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar.

Jalandhar, February 6, 2015: With an aim to spread awareness regarding Road Safety, the Legal Aid Club of Lyallpur Khalsa College today organised a poster making competition in which over 70 students prepared posters on the theme.

Speaking on the occasion, the college Principal Dr G.S.Samra said that incidents of road accidents in India were threateningly increasing and it was highly needed to make the public, particularly the youth, aware against irresponsible traffic and road behaviour so that road travel could be made more safe.

Prior to this, the convener of the Club Dr.S.S.Bains welcomed the guests and gave an introduction to the Legal Aid Club of the college and highlighted the theme of the competition.

The jury consisting of Dr. Kulwant Sandhu, Prof. Sarita Tewari and Prof. Manohar Singh declared Neha Arora of B.Sc.-IV Sem Computer Sc. class as first prize winner, whereas second and third positions went to Ruchika Verma (B.Com-II Sem) and Rajwinder Kaur (B.Com(Prof.)-IV Sem) respectively. Teaching Staff members were also present in this occasion.
