Ludhiana, November 2, 2015: The School of Energy Studies for Agriculture, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) will organise a national seminar on “Upscaling Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Practices in Agriculture Sector” on November 3 and 4. The seminar will be held in association with PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA). Dr Baldev Singh Dhillon, Vice-Chancellor, PAU will be the chief guest of the occasion. During the seminar, scientists, experts, farmers and other stakeholders will deliberate on the global issues pertaining to energy efficiency in agriculture sector. The experts will discuss energy conservation opportunities in farm sector, proper selection and evaluation of farm machinery and equipment, renewable energy technologies in agriculture, energy efficient farm equipment, measures to enhance fuel efficiency, and sustainable practices in agriculture.
