Annual Athletic Meet at ABC Montessori School

Students participate in Annual Athletic Meet at ABC Montessori School, Ludhiana. 

Ludhiana, December 21, 2014: There was a buzz in the air today at ABC Montessori School, Ludhiana, as around 100 students congregated for its annual sports day. Pupils at the school took part in a sports and achievement day. 
Students from Classes Pre Nursery to UKG found a platform to showcase their sporting talents in a string of events. The opening ceremony was done by the Little Cheer Leaders who cheered and boosted the spirits of the majestic montessorians with scintillating songs like “Kandhon Se Milte Hain Kandhe”. The Combined events included Swach Bharat Abhiyan Race, Superwomen Race, Butterfly Race, Bhangra Race, Superman Race, Educational Race, Ants Crawling Race, Chocolate Race, Friends Race, Matching Shapes Race, Cycling & Sandwich Making Race, Sack Race & Joker Race. Competitive spirit ran high as several houses of the school vied for the top spot. The event was witnessed by lot of parents who were all praises for the students and event organisers. Students also performed on the themes like Welcome Song, Ribbon Dance & Des Rangila Song ‘Team Spirit – United we Stand, Divided we Fall’. Children and their parents enjoyed the colorful events which took place on that day. Prizes were distributed among winners as well. 
Joginder Singh (ADCP), Ludhiana who presided over as Chief Guest and Ramanjit Guman(Principal of Indus world School), Prabhjot Kaur (Co-ordinator of Bal Bharti School) were our Guest Of Honours. The immense presence of Sangeeta Bhandari (District Secretary BJP) and Rtn. Amarpal Singh added charm to the event.
Echoing him, School Director Amanpreet Singh Arora said: “Students should participate in sports without being conscious of wins or loses as winners don’t wait for chances, they take them and in ABC Montessori School every child is a leader. We have given the children wings to fly high and high like an eagle.” The school principal Chetali Bhatt also motivated students to participate in extra-curricular activities as well as sports. She also said “Our pupils had a wonderful time demonstrating the skills they have acquired over the year. It was marvelous to see our children participating and having fun with their families. Sports and creative arts form an important part of our pupils’ curriculum and we are delighted that parents have this opportunity to celebrate their child’s achievements.” 
The event proved to be a stress buster after the yearlong hustle and bustle. It also gave an insight of the sensorial and motor development of the children in a Montessori School.
