Aeronautical Society of India’s Aviation Mentorship Program Launched at VESIM
Mumbai: Aeronautical Society of India (AeSI), Mumbai Chapter recently launched the Aviation Mentorship Programme at Vivekananda Education Society Institute of Management (VESIM). The program aims at mentoring and advising budding aviation professionals like Pilots, Flight Attendants, Air traffic Controllers, Flight Dispatchers, Aircraft Maintenance Engineers, Safety and Security Personnel and prospective students who are looking for guidance in their professional growth and to achieve success in their respective aviation streams. The Chief Guest for the inauguration was Shri Keshava Sharma, Regional Executive Director, -WR-Mumbai, who along with other prominent dignitaries of the aeronautical industry such as Mr. Manmohan Chawla, Mr. Vivek Kulkalrni and Dr Punita Masrani shared their immense knowledge and insights of the aeronautical space which were highly appreciated by the attendees. Speaking at the launch, Dr. Satish Modh, Director, VESIM Business School and Former Chairman of AeSI (Mumbai), said, “VESIM’s AICTE-approved Executive PGDM Program is the only management program in Mumbai that offers aviation management as a specialization. It is the right career choice for young aviation professionals who are keen to grow into senior management roles” Keshava Sharma, Regional Executive Director, Western Region, Airports Authority of India and Current Chairman of the AeSI, (Mumbai) said, “the purpose of the Mentorship Program is to help students and budding Aviation enthusiasts to achieve success in their careers, by integrating academic learning and real-world experiences, and to become a model for workforce readiness; embraced by the Aviation community”. The AeSI members comprise of senior, experienced and successful aviation professionals drawn from various streams of Aviation. This will guide the candidates in their mentorship program through integrating academic learning and real-world experiences and achieve success in their careers.
