Meeting of General Body of PAU Retirees' Welfare Association held

Ludhiana, December 12, 2018: Today a meeting of the General Body of the PAU Retirees' Welfare Association (Regd.) held in the PAU Students' Home in which 160 retirees took part. This meeting was held under the Presidentship of Jila Ram Bansal. Keeping in view the health problems of the retirees, Dr.IP Singh, Chief Eye Surgeon, Sohana Advanced Eye Care Centre, Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana held a talk for the diseases and their prevention and treatment of the old people. He also replied to the questions of the retirees. Dr. IP Singh distributed free consultation coupons for the consultation of eyes, teeth and general medical care. He also declared 10-15% special concession to the PAU Retirees for the treatment.
Mr. Jacob Newton, Programme Manager, Heavenly Palace (World Class Senior Citizen Home) Doraha highlighted the facilities given in their palace. He also replied to the questions of the retirees. Dr. Tarsem Singh Grewal (BAMS) checked the B.P. of 80 retirees.
In the end General Secretary SatishSood told that with the earnest day and night efforts of the Association almost all the cases of the Junior-Seniors have been processed and some had already been made the payment. Mr. Bansal told that the file of the Leave Travelling Allowance for July 2018 has been processed and he expected that the payment of this allowance will be made in the coming days. He further told that after the payment of this allowance there will nothing due of the retirees towards the PAU.
Mr. Bansal, President in the end thanked Dr. IP Singh, Mr. Jacob Newton and Dr. Tarsem Singh Grewal for sparing their valuable time and for helping the PAU Retirees.
