Admission Rush at KMV

Jalandhar, June 13, 2019: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Autonomous and Heritage Institution, Jalandhar is witnessing huge rush of students during the admission days. All the students are excited to seek admission in the courses and programmes offered at KMV. It is worth a mention here that KMV has become the first and only women college in Punjab to be awarded the autonomous status. Under autonomy, KMV has upgraded the syllabus of all classes with 21st century skill component and has also started 24 new programmes and courses. Value-added programs have been incorporated in the syllabus. Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that the infrastructure offered to the students is state-of-the-art. Among the new courses we have B.Com (Hons) (3years degree course), B.A. Hons. In English (3 Year Degree course) ,B.Sc Hons. Physics, B.Sc. Hons. Maths B.Sc. Agriculture. (Four Year degree Courses), M.Sc. Chemistry, M.Sc. Zoology. M.A. Dance, M.A. Psychology, M.A. Cosmetology, MA J.M.C. Early Childhood Care & Education ( Nanny Course) 1 year Diploma after +2 and other diplomas also have many aspiring students seeking admission in them. B.Voc and M.Voc Skill development programs are also preferred by many students Moreover scholarships upto Rs 1 Crore are also very heartening for the brilliant and economically needy students. At the time of admission career counseling is deemed mandatory to observe the aptitude of the students and also observe their areas of interest. Students have also shown keen interest in joining the Institute of IELTS and learn foreign languages taught by foreign teachers.
