Will continue struggle to fulfill martyr's dreams: Mann
Isru/ Ludhiana, August 15, 2018: Member Parliament and President Aam Aadmi Party Bhagwant Mann called upon the people to continue the struggle to fulfill the dreams of great martyrs of freedom movement, as the successive governments failed to redress the public issues and situation had further worsened for the poor.
Mann was addressing well attended meeting of party volunteers before leading a procession up to the memorial of martyr's, where they paid tribute by garlanding Statue of great martyr of Goa liberation Shaheed Master Karnail Singh Isru along with other senior leaders of party at his native village Isru today. He said that the poverty in the country had increased manifolds in and the living of down trodden people became miserable. H said that the corruption had become inseparable part of the political and governing system and country was being looted by the big corporate houses in connivance with the political bigwigs.
Mann added that shaheed Isru and other martyrs had sacrificed their lives to ensure freedom and improvement of quality life of the people, but because of the faulty policies of the different governments, the farmers are being forced to commit suicides and youth were dying while consuming drugs. He further added that the real tribute the martyrs will be to continue the fight they started to liberate the country from disparities among different sections and poverty.
Paying tributes to the martyr, Leader of Opposition Harpal Singh Cheema, Deputy Leader of Opposition Sarvjit Kaur Manukey and Co-President Dr.Balbir Singh said that the martyrs had sacrificed their lives to ensure prosperity in the country and we must struggle hard the achieve their goals.
