160 industrial units being set up in Punjab-Sukhbir Singh Badal
Sangrur, November 26, 2014: Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today said that 160 industrial industrial units are being set up in the state after getting quick approval through Punjab Bureau of Investment Promotion during last 5 month. He said that state has targeted to attract 1 lac crore investments in the state to provide abundant employment opportunities to youth besides catalyzing the economic development of the state.
Addressing the function organised by Ricela Group of Industries here today, Deputy Chief Minister said that India’s largest IT company Infosys also establishing IT park in 50 acres at Mohali which would provide employment to 20 thousand youngsters.
Highlighting the initiatives taken by Punjab government for developing infrastructure in the state to provide congenial atmosphere for industrial growth, Badal said that work on connecting all the cities would be initiated within three months. He said that Punjab has developed power surplus capacity and the issue of uninterrupted coal supply to new thermal plants would be resolved in next two months. He said that after 2 months whole state would enjoy 24 hour power supply.
Talking about achievements of Ricela group, Badal said that Ricela was one of the best industries of the country. He said that group was playing important role in the economic growth of the area. He said that Punjab government was extending every support to the industrialists investing in the state. He said that industrial development was the only solution for rapid growth of state.
Addressing the function, Parminder Singh Dhindsa Finance Minister Punjab appreciated the visionary approach of Deputy Chief Minister and said that Badal’s untiring efforts resulted in attracting investment agreements worth rupees 65000 Crores during Punjab Investment Summit.

Sharma, Chairman Ricela Group, Rahul Tiwari, Principal secretary to Deputy Chief Minister, Arashdeep Singh, Deputy Commissioner, Shiv Kumar Verma, DIG Patiala range and Mandeep Singh Sidhu, SSP.
