Youth Leadership Camp for boys organised at Dalhousie

Amritsar, June 23, 2015: A Youth Leadership Camp for boys was organized at the Guru Nanak Dev University Students Holiday Home, Dalhousie. This camp was organized by the Department of Youth Welfare of the University. As many as 110 students and their teachers from 13 affiliated colleges of the University participated.

Ms. Richa Verma, SDM, Dalhousie was the chief guest while Mr. V.K. Khanna, Deputy Controller Local Audit presided over the valedictory function. Mr. Punam Khanna was guest of honour. Dr. Jagjit Kaur, Director Youth Welfare welcomed the chief guest and others.

Ms. Verma said that student should work hard inspite of so many hardships to achieve their targets. They should respect their parents, teachers and elders. Mr. Khanna also present his views on this occasion.

During the camp, SGAD College, Khadoor Sahib was the Best Disciplined Team and Second team was SPSK Khalsa College, Begowal while SRSPM College, Niari was third best disciplined team. Similarly, Deepak Sharma of SSM College, Dina Nagar was adjudged Best Camper and Ranjodh Singh of DAV College, Jalandhar remained Second and Jagtar Singh of Khalsa College, Amritsar was third best camper.  / (SK Vyas, Jalandhar)
