World Heart Day observed in Hero DMC Heart Institute (HDHI)

Ludhiana, September 29, 2017: World Heart Day was observed today in Hero DMC Heart Institute (HDHI), where Medical Supdt of HDHI and Professor of Cardiology- Dr Bishav Mohan gave an informative lecture to a wide gathering of patients and their attendants sitting in Reception area of the hospital.
In his lecture, Dr Bishav Mohan emphasized that Heart Diseases have become quite common among the Indian population and besides the persons of old age, the heart diseases today affect both young children and adults as well. The main cause for increasing number of cardiac related diseases in Indian population is due to adoption of improper life-style, Dr Mohan suggested.
Today, a large segment of young population remains busy on computers and smart phones and therefore, get very less time to keep themselves active in physical activities. According to Dr Bishav Mohan, the best activity to keep heart healthy is to do 30 minutes of brisk walking daily for five days a week.

He also advised people to get rid of thos old-age myth that a child can have any quantity of food intake. He specifically said that childhood obesity is very dangerous and one should take care that a child doesn’t become fat or obese in his tender age.
At the end of the lecture, persons in the audience also asked many queries, which were satisfactorily answered by Dr Bishav Mohan.
