World Cup celebrations kill woman in Colombia

Soacha (Colombia), June 29 (IANS/EFE) A young Colombian woman was killed after she was hit by a stray bullet during celebrations of the country's 2-0 victory over Uruguay at the FIFA World Cup Saturday.

The 25-year-old was taken to one of the medical institutes after being shot.

Colombia's capital city Bogota's mayor urged all fans to celebrate the qualification to the quarterfinals peacefully.

Fourteen other people also died while celebrating Colombia's 3-0 win over Greece during the group stage June 14.
