Workshop on Zumba Dance

Jalandhar, February 9, 2018: The Dance Department of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar organized a One Day Workshop on Zumba Dance. Alumna of the College Nidhi Beri, embellished with the epithet ‘Best Classical Dancer’ was the resource person. She is also the Directress of Om Sai Ram Dance Academy whose slogan is ‘Fit Hai to Hit Hai’. Zumba is a mixture of Kumbia, Maringe, Salsa and Ragitone, four different dance forms. It keeps the body healthy and flexible. The dance involves entertaining fun moves as well.
College Principal Dr.Sucharita remarked that it was heartening to see an alumna as a resource person in the College. Her featuring as a resource person will also fillip other students to be self-dependent and self-employed in the sphere of dance. She lauded the efforts of Dance Department for the successful completion of the event in which 60 students participated.
