Ludhiana, July 3, 2015: The farm experts deliberated on co-operative farming and group marketing during the monthly training camp of PAU Kisan Club. The monthly meet of women’s wing of the club was also held at the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU). Farmers and farm women from different parts of Punjab attended the camp.
The President of the club, Mr A.S. Aujla exhorted the farmers and the farm women to keep attending the training camp regularly for updating their knowledge on agriculture and allied occupations.
The Programme Coordinator, Dr T.S. Riar provided tips on group marketing. He said the experts also delved on the insect-pest and disease management in paddy, and role of Plant Clinic in agricultural development.
Dr Rupinder Kaur, Coordinator of women’s wing of the club, said lecture on value addition to mango was delivered during the camp. Besides, demonstrations on the preparation of mango fruity, panna and chutney were also given, she informed.
