Jalandhar, September 23, 2015: CT Group of Institutions organized Welcome Party for more than 3200 new students at both of its Shahpur and Maqsudan Campus. The students had a great time singing, dancing and playing games.
At Shahpur Campus, S.Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions) along with Mr. Harpreet Singh (Vice Chairman, CT Group of Institutions) and other members of the management, faculty and staff attended the event. 
S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions) while inaugurating the fresher’s party ‘Aaghaz 2015’ said, “Aaghaz signifies the beginning of new term with new hope and aspirations to achieve something bigger. On the same note at CT Group, we provide best of the academic and holistic developmental facilities to the students that help them to make their successful mark.”
Gulshan Dogra and Trisala were adjudged Mr. Fresher and Ms. Fresher respectively at Aaghaz. Nelon Munthali was adjuged as Mr. Talented, Sonia- Miss Charming, Varsha-Miss Beautiful Smile and Amandeep Singh won the title of Mr. Punjabi.
The ramp walk was a spectacular event in which the girls displayed poise, elegance, style and confidence. The boys too impressed the audience with their wit, style, exuberance and positive attitude in the Question- Answer round. Fashion Show by students was the sparkle of the event. Students carrying the western and classical attires thrilled the audiences with their mesmerizing ramp walk. The wardrobe of the participants was designed by ‘Be beautiful’.
There were the cultural items ranging from folk dances, classical dances, Giddha, Bhangra, solo items, singing and folk songs. The wonderful display of students, both by the seniors and juniors, made the auditorium hall go sparkling and vivacious with whistles and claps all the way through. Then, after showing some killer moves on the dance floor, the titles for the evening were distributed to the students.
At Maqsudan, CT Institute of Technology and Research (CTITR), Department of Computer Applications of CT Institute of Management & Information Technology (CTIMIT) and others departments gathered at the fresher’s party. The event was honored by the presence of Mrs. Parminder Kaur Channi (Co- Chairperson, CT Group of Institutions), Dr. Jasdeep Kaur Dhami (Campus Director, Maqsudan).  Mr. and Ms. Fresher contest was the highlight of the event. All the contestants had their own style and panache. Sahil and Avni Sharma were chosen as Mr. Fresher & Miss Fresher, respectively. Brahamjot was chosen as Miss Charming and Davinder Pal Singh as Mr. Handsome of the event.
The members of management welcomed the students and wished them great luck in all their endeavours. They also expressed that the students will have a great learning experience at the institute. S. Charanjit Singh Channi congratulated the prize winners and also applauded the endeavours put in by the senior students. He expressed that events like this, are organized to provide a platform to students to come forward and exhibit their potential. 
The day was etched as one of the most memorable in the minds of the students and they thanked their seniors for organizing such a wonderful party.
