WHEAT PROCUREMENT KICKS OFF IN FEROZEPUR DISTRICT

Ferozepur, April 22, 2019: Deputy Commissioner Chander Gaind today kicked off the wheat procurement in all the grain markets of the districts. Gaind visited the grain market in Talwandi Bhai where he took stock of the procurement process. He also interacted with the farmers and took their valuable feedback regarding purchase. He asked the officials of the purchase agencies to buy each grain of the farmer without causing any trouble to them. Reiterating his commitment on hassle free purchasing, DC Gaind exhorted the farmers to bring moisture free grains in the market to get good price of their grain. He expressed hope to have bumper production this year in the district. Following this the purchase was formally started in Ferozepur City, Cantonment and Guruharsahai grain markets.
