A rare and unique talent from Canada auditions for Sa Re Ga Ma Pa

India’s first and the most definitive singing reality show – Zee TV’s Sa Re Ga Ma Pa is set to premiere on, 26th March at 9:30 PM with an all-new season after a hiatus of four years. The auditions have unearthed some spectacular singing talent from across the length and breadth of the country. While all of them have an undying passion for singing, the willingness to learn and an urge to prove themselves, what remains unique is the story each one has to tell!

One of the most inspiring stories this year is that of Jagpreet Bajwa, a 21-year-old contestant from Canada, who lost his vision when he was barely 6 months old to a vicious eye cancer. His positive attitude gave him the strength to overcome significant challenges. A passionate singer and a motivational speaker, Jagpreet’s impaired vision never posed a hindrance in his success. In fact, it gave him the burning desire to make a place for himself in the world. He now wants to show the world that nothing is unattainable, through his singing. He also wants to prove that disability can never stop you from achieving the impossible!

Trained in western and Indian classical music, Jagpreet is a soulful singer. Having performed his first stage show at the age of 6, this extraordinary talent has done over 500 stage shows. Learning various other forms of music every day, Jagpreet can sing in 11 different languages- Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, Sanskrit, English, German, Spanish, Tamil, Gujarati & Italian. The moment he stepped on the stage of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, he captivated everybody’s attention with his spell-binding voice. His optimistic outlook towards life, infectious smile and soulful singing moved the audiences and judges alike. In fact, his positive spirit and emotional story left mentor Sajid in tears. The fact that he can’t see with his eyes is purely incidental in his journey, as he looks deeper into life through his soul.

Jagpreet says ‘Singing is not just my passion but my life itself. Sa Re Ga Ma Pa is a place where I can live my dream and I am fortunate that I have got the opportunity to perform on this prestigious stage. If I win the show I aspire to open a music therapy school.’ An Ardent follower of Arjit Singh, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Natali Brothers and adept at playing various instruments, this versatile musician is an avid globe-trotter and an expert in mental mapping skills.

With an aim to spread love and peace through music, Jagpreet has managed to clear all the preliminary rounds. But will he be able to make a place for himself in the top 12?

To find out, stay tuned to Sa Re Ga Ma Pa which premieres on Saturday 26th March, at 9:30 PM only on Zee TV and on OZEE- the digital destination for all shows of the ZEEL network!
