Zee Cinema presents Blockbuster Fantasy - The Monkey King 2 in Hindi on 30th November

Breaking away from the mundane, fantasy genre that transcends us to a world of mystery and magic, a world beyond the known. Zee Cinema, the world’s largest theatre for Hindi movies is set to entertain you with one such visual blockbuster masterpiece The Monkey King 2. Sequel to the popular Chinese film The Monkey King, the epic fantasy film will premiere on Wednesday, 30th November at 8 PM.

While the film was touted as a great visual experiment, the actors of the film stuck to the hard-core method of character dressing. The lead actor, Aaron Kwok spent more than 6 hours to fit in his iconic monkey fur-suit. To evade inconvenience, the actor avoided eating and drinking while in the character, even if he was shooting for an exhausting scene. For its seamless storytelling and strong portrayals, The Monkey King 2 emerged as a bigger success than its prequel and entertained audience world over.

An adaptation of the 16th century classic Chinese novel ‘Journey to the West’, the film traces the adventurous and interesting journey of a young Buddhist monk Tang Sanzang (Feng Shaofeng). He accidentally frees the mythological warrior Sun Wukong (Aaron Kwok) revealed as The Monkey King. Goddess Kuanyin (Kelly Chen) orders The Monkey King to escort and protect the monk in his journey to India to collect Buddha's Holy Scriptures. With the lingering threat of Lady White (evil Goddess) around, the Monkey King decides to take the matter his own hands. Will he be successful in saving the world?
