India's first metaverse powered Virtual Model Polling Booth, live band and other awareness activities organised at MBD Neopolis Mall as Election Observers, DEO urge residents to vote 

For spreading voter awareness among the masses, India's first metaverse powered virtual model polling booth, live band among other awareness activities were organised at MBD Neopolis mall on Ferozepur road on Saturday evening.

Ludhiana, May 18, 2024: For spreading voter awareness among the masses, India's first metaverse powered virtual model polling booth, live band among other awareness activities were organised at MBD Neopolis mall on Ferozepur road on Saturday evening.

Election observers including General Observer Divya Mittal IAS, expenditure observers Chetan D Kalamkar IRS and Pankaj Kumar IRS, District Election Officer (DEO) Sakshi Sawhney among other officials from district administration participated in the event and urged the residents to exercise their 'Right to Vote'.

ARO Ludhiana Central Ojasvi Alankar said that the awareness event 'Ludhiana 70 paar', was organised by district administration in collaboration with the mall management under SVEEP program. The aim is to acheive the target of over 70 percent voter turnout during the general elections.

India's first metaverse powered virtual model Polling Booth was  established for providing a virtual mock polling experience to the participants. Election observers, DEO among other officials also experienced the virtual polling booth. 

An election song was also launched during the event and Bhangra performance was given by students of BCM Arya Senior Secondary School, Shastri Nagar and they were also felicitated with appreciation certificates. Live Band performance was given by Rock Fluid band. 

The election observers and district administration also urged the residents to make full use of the website (voteforludhiana.in). Through this, voters can track the crowd at the polling centers on the day of the election, allowing them to go to the centre to vote according to their convenience. The information on the website would be updated after every half an hour. The website has been designed by district administration and experts from Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College (GNDEC) - Dr Akshay Girdhar and Dr Jagdeep (GNDEC).

General Observer Divya Mittal, Expenditure observers Chetan D Kalamkar and Pankaj Kumar and DEO Sakshi Sawhney urged the residents to step out in large numbers and exercise their 'Right to Vote' on June 1. Reiterating the commitment to ensure free, fair and transparent elections, they said that administration is making elaborate arrangements for facilitating the voters at polling booths on June 1. 

ADC Anmol Singh Dhaliwal, ADC Rupinder Pal Singh, Assistant Commissioner (UT) Kritika Goyal among others were also present during the voter awareness event.
