Villagers along Border evacuate villages in Ferozepur; 35 relief camps set up

Ferozepur, September 30, 2016: Following the orders from the state government to evacuate the villages within 10 Km radius from the International Border, the villagers are taking shelters in nearby gurdwaras and to their relatives and even at the relief camps.
Meanwhile, DPS Kharbanda, Deputy Commissioner, Ferozepur paid a whirlwind tour few of these border villages and heard grievances of the people.
The Deputy Commissioner, requested the people to reach at the relief camps instead of staying in the village. He assured that proper arrangement of stay and food has been made in these relief camps.
“35 relief camps at various places have been established for these people where they can take shelter”, said DPS Kharbanda.
