Ludhiana, July 19, 2016: Fortis Hospital Ludhiana and Vardhman Amrante launched PAHEL (Preventive Actions for Healthy Environment and Living) which focuses on extending easily accessible and affordable preventive health options to the community and aims to pave way for good health and good environment under the supervision of Mr.Vivan Singh Gill, Facility Director, Fortis Hospital Ludhiana.
Giving information regarding PAHEL Mr. Gill said, “Healthy environment begins with healthy people, which adds impetus to devise efforts and both the organizations plan to promote the same through this association.” Pressing the importance of stronger action to create healthier environment through preventive health awareness will contribute to sustainably improving our lives and those of people around us.
Dr. Harpreet Brar, Admin Head, Fortis Hospital Ludhiana said, Investment in health and environment ensures that we leave a brighter future for our coming generations and this seed that we plant will definitely produce a healthy harvest in future.
Dr. Ankush Mehta, Medical Superintendent, Fortis Hospital Ludhiana added, considering we are in an age where the elderly population is increasing as much as the younger population , we need to keep in mind the importance of prevention, early diagnosis and treatment.
Mr. Adish Oswal, Managing Director, Vardhman said, we have joined hands with Fortis Hospital Ludhiana through PAHEL movement to spread the message among the masses and involve and engage the stakeholders to promote improvement of young children’s physical environment by way of research, dissemination, community empowerment and engagement with local bodies.
