Vijhay Badlaani – Shyamal Chacha on Sony SAB’s Super Sisters

Q.Tell us about your character on Sony SAB’s Super Sisters. Vijhay: I am playing the role of Shyamal Chacha, who has been blessed with magical powers for doing good in the society, from his ancestors. Shyamal has two nieces, Shivani and Siddhi, who have been his responsibility since their parents died. Shyamal is the ‘chacha’ who loves his nieces and can do anything for them. Q.Do you have a niece in real life? Vijhay: Yes, I do have a 4 year old niece called Kiara. She always gets excited whenever she watches me on Super Sisters. She is my little angel and closest to my heart. Q.How is your rapport with other actors on set? Vijhay: We are all like one big family and immensely close to each other. We have lunch together as well. Every actor associated with Super Sisters is extremely talented and I am blessed to have this bunch of actors around me. I can only thank Sony SAB and Super Sisters for getting me on board. Q.If you had the power of magic in real life, how would you use it? Vijhay: If I had the power of magic in real life, I would try and solve each and every issue in the nation, be it rape, pollution, robbery, corruption etc. Even if not me, I wish someone gets this power and uses it wisely to turn around the situation of this nation. My only wish to God is that everyone on Earth lives happily without any negativity. Q.What made you say yes to this role? Vijhay: I always wanted to work with Sony SAB and Optimystix and this was a golden opportunity for me. It involved few challenges, that made me consider it. The challenges included gaining weight, while I am health conscious in real life. I was also asked to speak with a Haryanvi accent on the show which was really tempting, since I have never done it before. Super Sisters is an amazing project that I chose to work on and I’m loving it.
