Ludhiana, November 5, 2014: Vigilance Awareness Week is being observed nationwide, in all CBSE Schools and it was enthusiastically observed at the premises of BCM School, Dugri too. The students of senior wing got the opportunity of being face-to face with Advocate Ravinder Rawat who is practicing law from the past five years. Recounting his knowledge and experiences till date, he had an interactive session with the kids and informed them about ‘How e-judiciary has helped in making court proceedings more transparent’. He also solved various queries of the students regarding consumer rights and their implementation.
The School Counsellor Charanjit Kalra had an interactive session with the students on e-procurement. The students of classes VI-VIII had a Debate competition on the topic ‘e-Ticketing has been effective in reducing corruption from booking system’. Two teams from each class spoke in favor and against the motion thus creating awareness in the listeners.
Thanking the advocate for enlightening the students with such beneficial information, the School Principal, Dr. Vandna Shahi appreciated this endeavor of CBSE. She said that it shall enable to promote transparency and integrity in public life to fight against corruption and encouraged her students to be active members of this drive.
