Chandigarh, December 4, 2014: University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS), Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh quiz team has won the Online Round of the All India Pharma Quiz.
UIPS team comprising of four B. Pharm. 7th Semester students namely Ashish Girdhar, Rajat Mahajan, Lalit Bhatia and Mayank Handa defeated 170 other participating colleges across the country to secure the First Position in the prestigious event held on November 30.
The UIPS team scored 398 points to grab the first rank. The final round of the Quiz will be conducted by the 66th Indian Pharmaceutical Congress (IPC) Quiz Organising Committee on 28th December 2014 at Visakhapatnam. The DSW has already granted funds for to-and-fro travel and accommodation during their stay in order to encourage the students to bring out their skills.
The Local Organising Committee (LOC) of the 66th IPC is organising the National Level Quiz Competition, All India Pharma Quiz with the objective of encouraging young pharmacy students in India.
