Vigilance Awareness Week 2014 at IDBI Bank Ltd

Mumbai, October 29, 2014: Vigilance Awareness Week is being observed by IDBI Bank Ltd from October 27 to November 1. The theme of this year’s Vigilance Awareness Week is “Combating Corruption – Technology as an Enabler”. The Vigilance Awareness Week commenced with the administration of Pledge by M.O.Rego, Deputy Managing Director of the Bank to its Officers & Staff on October 27, at its Corporate Office in Mumbai. On this occasion, Shri Rego read the message of President of India. The messages of Vice-President of India, Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, and Central Vigilance Commissioner, were read by B. Ravindranath, Executive Director, R.K. Bansal, Executive Director and Viney Kumar, Executive Director – Vigilance, respectively. Rego, DMD and other EDs while addressing the staff, stressed upon the importance of Vigilance at each and every level in the Bank. They also stressed on heightened use of technology, which besides enabling higher efficiency in terms of delivery at optimum cost in providing customer service, is a very robust tool to bring transparency and combat corruption. On this occasion, Rego also released a Special Journal brought out by the Bank’s Vigilance Department. The Journal has brought out articles on the CVC’s mandated subject ‘Combating Corruption – Technology as an enabler’, for perusal of IDBI staff. During the Vigilance Awareness Week, talks by eminent Guest Speakers have been organized.
