Ludhiana, March 28, 2017: Eighty-five-years-old senior Akali leader and former agriculture minister Gurdev Singh Badal breathed his last at the local DMCH (Dayanand Medical College and Hospital).
He was admitted to DMCH for treatment a few days ago.
He had been 5-time MLA from the Panjgrain assembly constituency in the Faridkot district.
Gurdev Singh Badal was a noted close confident of the former Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal.He was first elected in the year 1977.
The Punjab Government today declared the second-half day holiday in all its offices, corporations, educational institutions, and boards through out the state in view of the death of Gurdv Singh Badal.
