Capt Amarinder visits mother in hospital

Chandigarh, March 16, 2017: Chief Minister-elect Captain Amarinder Singh visited his ailing mother, Rajmata Mohinder Kaur, at the PGI hospital here on Wednesday.

Rajmata, aged around 95, was hospitalized in Patiala on Tuesday evening after she complained of uneasiness and was later shifted to PGI Chandigarh. Captain Amarinder met his mother and also discussed her health with doctors attending on her.

Talking to mediapersons outside PGI, Captain Amarinder said her condition was stable though she continues to be under observation.

Doctors at PGI later said Rajmata ji had been admitted there following GI (Gastro-Intestinal) bleeding but was much better now though she would remain in hospital for some more investigations. She is expected to be discharged soon, once the tests are done, they added.
