VB Punjab conducts workshop to armour its force with technology, technique and legal framework

Chandigarh, August 8, 2014: The Vigilance Bureau, Punjab in a bid to bring about awareness regarding various aspects of Anti Corruption Act among the officers and to inculcate in them the spirit of professionalism has conducted two day workshop at Punjab Police Academy, Phillaur.
Disclosing this here today an official spokesperson of the Vigilance Bureau said that more than 100 senior officers of the Vigilance Bureau took part in this workshop. He said that during this two day workshop guest lectures on various subjects viz provisions of Prevention of Corruption Act-1988, Procedures of lying traps, investigation of trap, disproportionate assets cases along with important judgments in corruption cases and provisions of Criminal Law Amendment Ordinance, 1944 with procedure for attachment of property of accused were delivered by the retired senior Officers of CBI.
Likewise, guest lectures on other subjects viz collecting evidence from abroad, money laundering and procedure of attachment of proceeds of crime were delivered by senior officers of Enforcement Directorate, Government of India.
The spokesperson said that Vigilance Bureau Punjab would keep on conducting such workshops in future to equip the workforce engaged in anti corruption campaign with all the available technology, technique and legal framework.
