Ferozepur police arrest robbers planning to rob ATM in DHOOM-3 style

Ferozepur, December 15, 2014: Ferozepur police have nabbed three persons, including one member of a local NGO, on the charges of being the master planner of an ATM robbery gang.

Hardial Singh Maan, SSP, Ferozepur while addressing a press conference here today said that the police has nabbed Kewal Sandhu aka Lucky on the charges of being the chieftain of an ATM robbery gang. He said that Kewal Sandhu is the District President of an NGO.

SSP Said influenced from the Hindi Movie Dhoom-3, the members of the gang were using internet to get training to rob an ATM. SSP said that the gang was exposed after the arrest of Kewal Sandhu few days ago. During the interrogation, Kewal Sandhu confessed that he was providing training to rob ATMs to Raja and Manu, both resident of Ferozepur City with the help of internet videos.

Both Raja and Manu are already booked by Ferozepur police in some other case. The police have recovered 1 gas cutter, one oxygen cylinder, three gas cylinders and a gold ring from them.

In another incident, three persons were arrested by the police for running an illegal drug de-addiction centre. Vibhor Sharma, DSP, City said that following inputs, the police had raided at Village Sooba Kahan Chand and had nabbed one Sukhwinder Singh, resident of Amritsar along with three other unidentified persons for running an illegal drug de-addiction centre on a rented place. The DSP said that Sukhwinder Singh used to charge heavy fee from the parents of drug addicts without having prior authority or experience and used to beat the inmate in name of treatment.

All the drug addicts who were under treatment at this illegal drug de-addiction centre were shifted to drug and rehabilitation centre at Ferozepur.
