US Ambassador to India Richard Rahul Verma chief guest at annual convocation of DAV College

Jalandhar, May 23, 2015: DAV College, Jalandhar's annual convocation was held recently in the college  auditorium in which US Ambassador to India Mr Richard Rahul  Verma ,  was the chief guest . A local committee president Mr Kundan Lal Agarwal, Principal Dr BB Sharma, Vice Principal Prof PK Kapoor, Vice Principal Prof. P. Sharma, Registrar Dr Ravi Manuja, deputy registrar Dr Kiranjit Randhawa, local advisory committee members, staff, secretary, Dr Sanjeev Dhawan, Joint Secretary Prof. Manish Khanna staff and group staff members were present along.

His Excellency Mr. Rahul Verma  was welcomed with enthusiasm and excitement came strenuous, after which Mr Verma said that he liked the college very much, after which he was welcomed  to  principal office. He got copy of  his father's enrollement form of 1948 with their signature as a memory.  Mr.Richard Rahul Varma, he signed on visitors book and unveiled the memory stone of that room (Room No. 15)  where his father used to study.

As  Mr. Verma entered College Auditorium for convocation , after the introduction of  the teaching staff of the college  he  was given standing ovation.

Event was started by The flame ignition ceremony  along DAV anthem. Principal Dr BB Sharma said he welcomes guests to the famous and eccentric personality Excellency Mr. Rahul Verma, having them   throughout the event DAV family is feeling proud.

Mr. Richard Verma, distributed degree among 919 students and congratulated young graduates and post graduates

In his valedictory speech, Mr. Richard Verma said that he feels happy coming to  the country's excellent educational institutions and is happy with the overall development of the educational institution. Mr. Richard Verma said that for development and shaping a country student innovation, capabilities and entrepreneurial spirit is important and youth must participate actively in it . Mr. Verma said, that this will lead to the transformation of the two countries in the economic, social and political relations will strengthen too.

Mr. Verma congratulated the degree holders and then he blessed them for their bright future.

Highlighting the former activities and achievements of the college principal  said, the our college  players an important role in improving the socio-economic situation of society. DAV College a leading institution among the country's various colleges. College's flexible and easy to understand high-quality teaching staff and research section meets to  the diverse needs of individuals and society.

Chief Guest MR. Richard Rahul Verma was felicitated by Shri Kundan Lal Agarwal, director and principal Dr BB Sharma.

Dr ravi  Mnuja, Dr. Samir Sharma, Dr. Rajwant Kaur  were also awarded  for their PhD degree

Cultural programme was presented by students of EMA Department cultural program was presented on behalf of the Department  . Whole event was anchored by Prof Sharad Manocha. At the end of the programme valedictory speech was by Dr Sanjeev Dhawan staff secretary so he passed a vote of thanks.

Specially invited principal Ravinder Sharma, Principal Raj Kumar, Shri SP sahadev, Mr. Mayor Sunil Jyoti, K D. Bhandari, principal Rekha Kalia, principal C L Kochhar, Ajay Goswami, Principal Dr AL Sangal, and principal Raj Kumar Sehgal . And Whole College staff was involved in the function.
