Provides Free Salon Services for all bank employees in the city of Pune
New Delhi, December 2, 2016: UrbanClap, India’s largest mobile services marketplace, undertook a unique CSR activity recently, wherein it provided free salon services to bank employees across the city of Pune last Saturday, i.e. November 26th, 2016. The move comes just weeks following the demonetization of high value bank notes in India, which forced many bank officials to work without taking any leaves or breaks.

In wake of the recent demonetization of high denomination currency in India, several bank employees have been working round the clock to ensure that the new change is efficiently implemented across the country. Due to long working hours, many employees have been unable to take time out for themselves and relax, even for a little while. To alleviate this issue, UrbanClap came up with the idea to facilitate free salon services for bankers in Pune, Maharashtra.

Commenting on the initiative, Mr. Varun Khaitan(Co-founder,UrbanClap) said, “At UrbanClap, ensuring customer satisfaction has been our prime objective ever since we began operations. We strive to provide the best on-demand services to customers from all walks of life, allowing them to enjoy a brief moment of relaxation in their fast paced lifestyle. With our latest activity for bank employees in Pune, we hope to offer our gratitude towards these hardworking individuals, who are investing all their time to help the public; and are joining them in the fight against corruption.”

The free activity was done as a goodwill gesture by UrbanClap’s Pune team and was very well received by all those involved. Apart from this activity, the dynamic enterprise had also organized a free self-defense training programme for women on the occasion of ‘International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women’, which fell on the same day, viz. 26th November, 2016.
