Union Government didn't accord political go ahead to delegation of Punjab Government for observing 550th Prakash Purb in Pakistan: Channi

Chandigarh, October 30, 2019: The Union Government didn't accord political go ahead to the delegation of Punjab Government for observing 550th Prakash Purb in Pakistan which doesn't bodes well for the federal structure of the country and is unconstitutional also.
Disclosing this here today in a press communique, the Cabinet Minister, Punjab, Mr.Charanjit Singh Channi while taking the Union Government led by the BJP and it's alliance partner SAD to task, said that it is purely due to the political shenanigans of both that the Lok Sabha MPs, Ministers as well as the MLAs from Punjab were not allowed to hold Sri Akhand Path Sahib at Sri Nankana Sahib, by the Union Ministry of External Affairs.
Lashing out at the Union Government and SAD, Mr. Channi said that the dastardly act has brought to fore the anti panthic face of both. He further divulged that SAD too has become a partner in crime with the BJP and SAD to consign other religions to the margin. Both were from day one, inimical to the philosophy of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji and are out to create roadblocks in the 550th Prakash Purb celebrations.
Mr. Channi also added that BJP Government and SAD were engaged in playing dirty politics concerning the Prakash Purb celebrations and their actions have proved that they are totally anti to the philosophy of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, which is based on Universal Brotherhood.
Elaborating more, the minister said that the Punjab Government was to hold Sri Akhand Path Sahib at Sri Nankana Sahib from 31st October till 2nd November, 2019. But, out of the 31 member delegation sent by the State Government, Only 11 officers and the journalists were accorded political nod and that too on the afternoon of 29th October whereas permission was denied to the Lok Sabha MPs, Ministers and the MLAs belonging to Punjab. All this was done by the Union Government at the behest of SAD.
Mr. Channi also said that there can be no bigger enemy of the philosophy of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji than BJP and SAD who stopped so low as to play politics even in the matter of the Prakash Purb celebrations and put a spanner in the holding of Sri Akhand Path at Sri Nankana Sahib.

Chandigarh/Sultanpur Lodhi, October 30, 2019: Health and family welfare Minister of Punjab Mr. Balbir Singh Sidhu today called upon all the people to rise above their parochial considerations for collectively celebrating the 550th parkash purb of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji.
While inaugurating the new ICU , trauma centre and emergency ward at civil hospital sultanpur lodhi , he said that the "Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has made concerted efforts in this regard and had even constitutes special group of ministers for better coordination with SGPC but the SAD, who controls the strings of the SGPC, created hurdles in joint celebration".
"SAD was trying to scuttle the move for joint celebration to gain political mileage as the people of Punjab have wiped out them from political scenario of the state ", the Minister added.
He also informed that the Punjab becomes first state to provide cash less treatment to 46 lakh families across the state under Sarbat Sehat Bima yojna and 4 lakh new families to be added soon under that.
Terming this scheme as a game changer for rural areas , he asked the people to ensure their health cards to be prepared so that they can obtain the free treatment up to Rs. 5 lakh in Government and private hospitals.
Talking about the preparation by the health department to provide emergency and other medical services during 550th Gurpurab celebrations, the Minister said that the department is fully geared up for the mega event . He informed that three temporary hospitals have been set up in all three tent cities with bed capacity of 15 to 60 bed. Besides that special trained 120 medical students would also be deployed besides deploying 20 20 bike ambulances , 24 ambulances to cater any emergency situation.
He also launched a special directory , which have all mobile and other emergency Phone numbers of 44 hospitals , designated to tackle emergency cases in Gurpurab celebrations.
MP from Khadoor sahib constituency Jasbir Singh Gill announced the grant from his MP quota to purchase a sweeping machine for sultanpur lodhi.
Speaking on the occasion MLA NS cheema said that it was a matter of great satisfaction that the health department took only 40 days to establish the ICU, Trauma centre and emergency ward after the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh announced in first ever cabinet meeting at holy city .
