DC reviews arrangements for mega event
Ferozepur, July 23, 2019: The Ferozepur district administration today geared up for ensuring celebrations for the upcoming Independence Day with patriotic fervour and enthusiasm.
Chairing a meeting here today at the District Administrative Complex, the Deputy Commissioner Chander Gaind, accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Ravinder Singh, Assistant Commissioner Ranjit Singh reviewed the preparations for the gala event.
During the meeting Gaind laid thrust on commemorating this mega event in a befitting manner to pay floral tributes to the heroes of the Indian national freedom struggle. He said that the celebrations must be a perfect blend of the nationalism and socio-cultural heritage of the state, adding that he said that every effort must be made to ensure that these celebrations were organized in an unsurpassed manner.
The Deputy Commissioner also asked the various departments including Municipal Council, Education department, Public works department, public health department and others to start the preparations of this mega event. He said that every department has been assigned the respective duty for holding this national event in a befitting manner. Gaind said that any kind of callousness in this work was unwarranted and undesirable.
The Deputy Commissioner also informed the gathering that the rehearsals for the event would start from August 10th at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Stadium, the venue of this event. Gaind also said that the full dress rehearsal for the event would be held on August 13 and will be inspected by him.
On the occasion, ADC (D) Ravinderpal Singh, SDM Amit Gupta, Secretary Red Cross Ashoke Bahal, Superintendent of Police Sandeep Sharma, DEO Nek Singh and others were present.
