UIPS STUDENTS BRING NATIONAL LAURELS

Chandigarh, February 16, 2018: As many as 41 students of B.Pharm.final year from University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS), Panjab University, Chandigarh, appeared and qualified in the All India Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT-2018). The online GPAT 2018 was held on 21 January 2018, where the result was declared yesterday on 15 February 2018. In the continued pursuit of excellence in education and research, a total of TWENTY B. Pharm. final year students from UIPS have secured place among TOP 100 All India Rank (AIR) holders across the country.
Mr Ishaan Duggal secured the 18th position. Mr Suraj and Mr Sagar, secured the 21st and 23rd positions, respectively. Several other top rankers include, Ms Kiran (AIR-34), Ms Simer (AIR-36), Ms Karuna (AIR-42), Mr Roshan (AIR-45), Mr Chanderpal (AIR-50), Mr Gagandeep Singh & Ms Caamin (AIR-52), Ms Deepinder & Ms Kritika (AIR-54), Ms Inayat (AIR-68), Ms Priyanka & Ms Priyanshi (AIR-71), Mr Waseem Ali & Ms Nidhi (AIR-81), Mr Sandeep (AIR-92), Mr Vishav (AIR-93) and Mr Pawan (AIR-94), and many more.
"The excellent performance by students has reiterated ?the premier academic status of the UIPS of the Panjab University as the front-runner education institution of the country," said Professor Kanwaljit Chopra, Chairperson, UIPS.
GPAT is considered as one of the top most All India level examinations conducted by AICTE every year as an entry-level examination for being eligible to pursue Post-graduation in various disciplines of pharmacy.
For the last several years, students from UIPS have been continuously performing excellently with majority of the top rankers from this institution.
