Two-weeks training programme for Non-Teaching employees of Panjab University concluded

Chandigarh, June 18, 2015: Two-weeks training programme for Non-Teaching employees of Panjab University (PU) concluded here today at the UGC-Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC), PU, Chandigarh.  
Twenty participants from different branches of administration were trained in basic office practices such as Record Management, Campus Portal, Diary-Dispatch Tracking System, conducting meetings. Skill sharpening was also done in computer basics, written
communication domain where drafting letters, memos, agenda, minutes etc. were practiced.
In addition there were sessions on conflict management, team building, work culture, public dealing etc.
The impact of the training programme was evaluated through Pre-test/Post-test method and both formal and informal feedback was taken. Participants demanded more specific and advanced training. 
PU Finance and Development Officer, Mr. Vikram Nayyar delivered the Valedictory Address and spoke about the significance of induction and refresher trainings.
The methods employed were Hands-on training, role playing, interactive session, small group discussion etc. and resource persons were drawn from both academic & administrative fields. / (SK Vyas, Jalandhar)
