TWO DREADED GANGSTERS ARRESTED BY FEROZEPUR POLICE

Ferozepur, May 23, 2017: In a major breakthrough, the police one of the key accused who supplied vehicle and weapons for Nabha Jail Break along with Gagandeep Singh alias Judge, a noted gangster. As per information available, Judge is a close aid of notorious gangster Jaipal, who is the main accused in the murder of gangster turned politician Jaswinder Singh alias Rocky.

Gaurav Garg, SSP, Ferozepur while giving details said that following a secret tip off, the police officials led by Dharamvir Singh, SP (D), nabbed Gagandeep, who is listed as “A” category gangster, from Ferozepur City bus stand on 22nd May. It is pertinent to mention here that several cases have been lodged at various police stations against Gagandeep.

“During the preliminary questioning, Gagandeep told the police that his accomplice Varinder Singh alias Vicky son of Kashmir Singh and a resident of Village Singha Wala in Moga district is coming to meet him on 23rd May. The police laid a trap at railway crossing at Ferozepur-Moga road near Satiyewala bypass and arrested Varinder Singh “Vicky”. The police also recovered a cash of Rs. 1, 67,000 from his car which he was driving (Magnum Optra Number PB 29 X 3812)”, said SSP Garg.

The SSP said that Varinder Singh is also booked under several cases including the famous Nabha jailbreak incident. “Varinder is a close aid of Gurinder Singh Gori, who is the brother-in-law of Gurpreet Singh Sekhon and Kulbeer Neeta and Seera Sidhana. He had provided vehicle and weapons to the gangsters. Besides, he is also running a hotel in Moga which he was using for his cover. Gagandeep was involved in several cases including the firing incident at Guruharsahai on the polling day and killing of two youths Kalu and Deepu in Ferozepur Cantonment area”, added SSP.

“The police is expecting more revelations in the upcoming days”, SSP further added.

RS. 16.5 LAKH RECOVERED FROM DRUG PEDDLER

Acting vigorously, Ferozepur police has recovered Rs. 16.5 Lakh from the hosue of a drug peddler which was arrested on May 19th. Giving details SSP Gaurav Garg said that the police had nabbed a youth involved in drug smuggling and recovered one Chinese made .30 bore pistol alongwith several rounds, Rs 27.50 Lakh cash, 3 Pakistani SIM cards besides 75 gm Heroin from his possession. A case under sections 21,25,61, 85 IPC NDPS Act, 25, 54,59 Arms Act, 66-D, 66-F IT Act was registered against him and his brother Joginder Singh who had managed to escape from the spot at Ferozepur Sadar Police Station (Case number 115 dated 19.05.2016).

The SSP said that during the search, Rs. 16.5 lakh more were recovered from their residence. “The police is investigating this matter and very soon the other culprit will also be nabbed”, said SSP.
