Ludhiana, June 30, 2017: DMCH today bid a heartfelt adieu to the former Professor & Head of Anatomy Department- Dr Poonam Singh (who today got retired after 31 years of service) through an impressive farewell function. The occasion was graced by Vice-President of DMCH Managing Society-Sh Armit Nagpal along with Secretary Sh Prem Kumar Gupta.
The function began with the floral welcome to all the dignitaries.
Addressing on the occasion, Principal Dr Sandeep Puri said that Dr. Poonam Singh has been a committed and dedicated teacher and was actively involved in various academic pursuits of her department and institutional welfare.
Dr. Hitant Vohra, who will succeed Dr. Poonam Singh as Professor & Head of Anatomy Department said that Dr. Poonam Singh will always remain a guide and inspiration for the department. Under her leadership, department started body donation programme and live cadaveric workshops. She emphasized that it was a heart-rending moment for all the faculty members.
In her address, Dr Poonam Singh shared her enrichment and inspiring experiences with her teachers, former HODs of the department and colleagues.
The function got concluded with presentation of prestigious memento to Dr Poonam Singh.
