Khanna, November 26, 2015: In order to remember the countrymen which lost their lives due to terror attack at Mumbai a number of citizens of Khanna town paid tributes to martyrs of 26/11 Mumbai terror attack. They victims of the fateful day were also remembered by keeping silence for two minutes by the mourners. Floral tributes were paid to the brave security officers who sacrificed their life to save the Mumbai people.
On the occasion former Municipal councillor Dr Somesh Batta said " On the fateful day of November 26, in 2008 the terrorists trained by Pakistan tried to disturb the peace of Mumbai and India by massacring 166 people'' Dr Batta said, " Those security men who sacrificed their life are our real life heroes as security forces are serving at borders to protect us from external forces and also serving within the country fighting against terrorists and other anti national forces" He added," We salute the sacrifice of 26/11 martyrs including ATS chief Hemant Karkare, Vijay Salaskar, Ashok Kamte, Tuka Ram Omble and army officer Sandeep Unnikrishannan." One of the speakers Umesh Devgan said that we should make our role models the real life heroes which are serving the country in different fields. Arun Gupta and Vas Dev Batra said, " We should have to follow these heroes not those from Bollywood as they are merely actors to do their profession for their livelihood.
Those present on the occasion include Ravi Kumar, Subhod Mittal, Vijay Garg, Rajesh Dua(CA) Kapil Chikarsal(CA) Krishan Duggal, Vishnu Sharma, Dev Raj , Akhlesh Dhand, Rajiv Kumar and some others.
