Chandigarh, December 2, 2015:  The Punjab Government has notified the reconstituted Tourism, Cultural Affairs, Museums & Archives, Jails and Printing & Stationery Department Advisory Committee. The new committee would advise in framing and executing policies of these departments for the Year 2015-16.
A government spokesperson said Tourism, Cultural Affairs, Museums & Archives, Jails and Printing & Stationery Minister Mr. Sohan Singh Thandal would be the Chairman of the Committee. The spokesperson said that committee would have 5 official members including Chief Parliamentary Secretary and Principal Secretary of Tourism, Cultural Affairs, Museums & Archives department, Principal Secretary Jails, Tourism, Cultural Affairs, Museums & Archives, Secretary Stationery department and Head of concerned department.
The committee would have 10 non-official members, five from the Shiromani Akali Dal Mr. Deep Malhotra, Mr. Darshan Singh Kotfatta, Mr. Prem Mittal,Mr. Chatin Singh and Mr. Iqbal Singh Choonda, three from the Congress including Karan Kaur, Mr. Joginder Singh and Mr. Brahm Mahindra, one from the Bhartiya Janta Party namely Mr. Ashwani Kumar Sharma and one independent Mr.Simarjit Singh Bains.
