Ferozepur, January 8, 2013:  Dairy Development Department,  Punjab  is making special arrangements, to bring something different in agriculture and to provide self-employment opportunities to the unemployed youths.

Balwinderjit, Deputy Directory Dairy, Ferozepur informed, a training programme in association with Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) has been started in village Baje Ke to make the youths self-dependent and self-employed.

Under the leadership of Swarn Singh Phillaur, Cabinet Minister for Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and Dairy Development, Punjab and directions of Inderjit Singh, Director, Dairy Development, Punjab, Veer Partap Singh Gill, Executive Officer, Dairy Board, Ferozepur and his team, imparted a training to the farmers associated with the dairy farming at high level about the technical knowledge, increasing of milk production and to produce the good and standard milk of the international standard.

Gill further said, the youths are being given the training of artificial conception to improve the breed.  

Dr. Parveen Aggarwal, Veterinary Officer also gave training about the common and infectious diseases of animals.  He also appealed to the farmers to participate in vaccination campaign of  the department.

Dr. Rajinder Kataria, Assistant Director Fisheries apprised about the schemes of his department.  

Dr. Om Parkash Bajaj, Technology Manager ATMA trained the farmers about the compose fertilizer.  

Dr. Vinay Sharma gave training of mineral mixtures to complete the deficiency of elements in the animals.

On this occasion, free kits were distributed to the farmers under ATMA scheme, to encourage the farmers for production of quality milk, besides checking free samples of milk, cattle feed.

Among others, Kuldip Singh, DFS, Shaheed Udham Singh Youth Club Bajeke, Sarabjit Singh Mintu, Radha Krisha, Rajesh Kumar, Rajnish Banti, Hardip Dhat, Prem Kumar, Ravinder Kumar, Rajinder Kumar Nambardar and Kashmir Chand, Sarpanch, Bajeke were present.
