Ludhiana, July 10, 2015: A five-day short training course on Textile Decoration concluded at Punjab Agricultural University, today. The course was organized by the Department of Apparel and Textile Science, College of Home Science. The course aimed at imparting skills to the budding entrepreneurs in various techniques used for decorating apparel and household textiles. The participants were exposed to various techniques used in fabric painting, block, spray, screen and stencil printing, tie and dye and various types of hand embroideries. They were also made aware of the various innovative products available in the market today. According to Dr. Sandeep Bains, Head of the Department the course has been very fruitful for the participants as decorating textiles in different ways is in fashion these days. Fashion Designing students of the Department who are masters in such skills are performing extremely well in different areas.
