Tota Singh To Review Pending Complaints Of NRIs

Chandigarh, April 21, 2015: The Punjab NRI Affairs Minister Jathedar Tota Singh would conduct comprehensive review of status report submitted by various departments and district administrations regarding complaints submitted by Non Resident Indians during ‘Sangat Darshans’ held in the month of December.

Disclosing this here today an official spokesman said that to ensure speedy justice for NRIs, the state government was also setting up special courts. Punjab was the only state that has set up a separate department to look into NRI complaints, apart from the NRI police stations that have proved successful. He added Fard Kendras set up by the state government were also proving beneficial for NRIs, who could now easily get records of their land. He said that N.R.I. Affairs Minister, Punjab, Jathedar  Tota Singh would preside over a review meeting on April 24, 2015 on12.00 p.m. at Deputy Commissioner Office, Moga in which heads of departments concerned would also participate. 

Disclosing this here today an official spokesperson said that in the meeting Minister would review the complaints concerning the N.R.I.s which were left pending at the N.R.I Sangat Darshan on December 28, 2014. According to the spokesperson, the Minister has already instructed the Deputy Commissioners to put up the pending complaints before him in the meeting.

Elaborating further, the spokesperson said that Principal Secretary, N.R.I. Affairs, Sanjay Kumar would also accompany the minister.
