PURCHASE OF SPIROMESIFEN PESTICIDE (OBERON BRAND): Punjab Police Registers FIR

Chandigarh, October 6, 2015: On the basis of Inquiry Report dated 1.10.2015 of Special Secretary, Agriculture, Punjab, received from Department of Agriculture, Punjab; case FIR No.2 dated 6.10.2015 under Sections 420, 409, 120-B of IPC, 1860 and under Section 13 (2) read with Section 13 (1) (d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 has been registered at State Crime Police Station, Bureau of Investigation, Punjab; S.A.S.Nagar (Mohali), regarding purchase of spiromesifen pesticide (Oberon brand) by the Department of Agriculture for control of white fly pest attack on cotton crop.
The investigation of the above said case is being conducted by Smt. Nilambari Jagadale, IPS, Assistant Inspector General of Police, State Crime Police Station, B.o.I, Punjab,  Phase-IV,  S.A.S. Nagar.
