Tama Home Company promises investment at Ludhiana and New Chandigarh

Chandigarh/New Delhi, November 5, 2014: The investment vision of Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today got a shot in the arm with President and CEO of Tama Home Company, one of the leading housing and infrastructure company, Japan Yasuhiro Tamaki promising big investments in Punjab.

While calling on Badal the company President Tamaki flanked by a high level delegation disclosed the investment outline and said they were keen to make investments in India especially in Punjab. He said the company had initiated its program by taking over a housing project at Ludhiana.

Briefing about their specialization in serving communities by providing highest quality housing at minimum prices, Tamaki said the company could provide high quality housing at reasonable prices. He said the company could also create world class industrial estate keeping in mind the needs of the next 50 years. He asked Deputy CM to provide requisite chunk of land for this purpose while assuring investment of Japanese companies also in the proposed township.

After having detailed discussions with the company president, Badal offered a suitable land chunk near Dera Bassi, where it could create a modern industrial estate.

Badal said Punjab has already kicked off significant and unique reforms in investment sector besides starting a separate Punjab Investment Promotion Bureau-an office under direct supervision of senior officers of state. He informed the delegation that Punjab was providing all clearances and NOCs under one roof on a single application having project details.

Prominent amongst those present in the meeting Y. Tamaki, President and CEO of Tama Home Company, David Rebello, CEO Developers Group of Japan and Rahul Gupta, Executive Director of Developers Group.
